The dynamic quintet, Ebi Soda and pianist Sultan Stevenson, one of the fastest-emerging young artists on the London jazz scene, round out this year’s stellar showcase.

Check out the 2024 cohort and their showcase set times below

Sultan Stevenson // 8pm

Pianist Sultan Stevenson is one of the fastest emerging young artists on the London jazz scene. His trio is already established as an outfit to catch when billed to play live and is being tipped for success on national and international stages.

Chelsea Carmichael // 9pm

Saxophonist, composer and arranger Chelsea Carmichael is a warm and hypnotic player, who brings powerful and considered improvisation to everything she does. She released her debut album ‘The River Doesn’t Like Strangers’ on Shabaka Hutchings’ Native Rebel Record label.

Kyra // 10pm

Singer-songwriter Kyra, has quickly established herself as a key player in the UK music scene showcasing her charismatic and distinct soulful vocal. Delving deeper into the vulnerabilities of being a woman and motherhood, Kyra aims to use her voice to connect with lovers of jazz and soul.

Richard Spaven // 11pm

Combining machine-like accuracy with jazz-influenced improvisational sensibilities, Spaven’s drumming has landed him gigs with artists such as Loyle Carner, Guru (Gang Starr), Flying Lotus, José James and Jameszoo. Spaven’s drumming is elusive and genre-defying.

Neone The Wonderer // 12am

Born and raised in Wolverhampton, NEONE is a musical alchemist, mixing genres to create unique, signature sounds. His music is an eclectic Jazz-grime fusion intertwining captivating stories carving lyrical journeys through myth, wonder, and life experience.

Ebi Soda // 1am

Ebi Soda have been steady-cultivating a unique sound amidst the exploding UK jazz scene. They thrive on the idea of contradiction, seeming more inspired by the atmosphere inside a rave than the sounds heard on jazz records.
