Back in 2017, we launched JAZZ RE:FRESHED OUTERNATIONAL, an Arts Council and PRS Foundation funded initiative that aimed to put a global spotlight on this dope UK jazz scene.

Partnering with the brilliant British Underground, whose bread and butter is international showcasing, we went on to deliver endless showcases at SXSW Austin, Texas, AFROPUNK New York and Paris, SIM Sao Paulo, AZZ IS festival, LA with independent shows in New York, Rio, New Orleans and many other locations.

JRF has taken numerous bands and artists on the OUTERNATIONAL journey with many from the global music industry attending our destination events.

JRF OUTERNATIONAL received major international attention including on NPR’s Jazz Night in America hosted by Christian McBride in 2017, focussing an entire show on our first SXSW showcase and placing a firm spotlight on the UK Jazz scene.  Later in the same year, the New York times printed a double page spread on our two New York shows, placing further direct light onto the scene.

Our work has stoked the fire that saw an explosion of artists receive opportunities at Jazz and non Jazz events and festivals worldwide as well as with global record labels, publishers and more.

Newspapers and magazines including Rolling Stone, the Telegraph and The Guardian have been chronicling this exciting time for the UK.

We are not done yet!  We intend to continue breaking down barriers, opening doors and entering new territories all over the world.
