A multi-faceted vocalist and soulful song-writer, Cherise Adams-Burnett is an artist ready to step into the limelight. An alumni of grassroots organisation Tomorrow’s Warriors, Adams-Burnett went on to study at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, and has honed a sound which she says celebrates “all the musical styles that I love without being defined strictly by any particular genre.”
As comfortable performing at the Royal Albert Hall or London Jazz Festival as she is alongside Nubiyan Twist and Corinne Bailey Rae, Adams-Burnett moves effortlessly between worlds with an ease which belies her age. Awarded Jazz FM’s Vocalist of the in 2019 and Vocalist of the Year by the Parliamentary Jazz Awards in 2020, her contemporary and timeless compositions are fast marking her out as one of the most talented young musicians around.
